Over the past six weeks BoomTown Fair has unleashed a stream of line-up announcements for the nine themed districts that make up the festival’s vast immersive world.

As one, it’s a boundless kaleidoscope of music that trawls the far reaches of the sonic spectrum, from ska, folk, bluegrass and punk, to reggae, world and gypsy, via disco, electro-swing, hardcore, hip-hop, jungle, house, techno and much, much more! World-beating headliners Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Parov Stelar and Fun Lovin’ Criminals share stages with UK legends Madness, Bad Manners, Leftfield and Levellers, whilst international cult favourites such as Mad Caddies and Ojos De Brujo feature amongst home-grown heroes like So Solid Crew, Beardyman and Seth Lakeman.

With 500+ artists performing on 100+ stages, and 50,000 citizens from all over the world, BoomTown’s mind-blowing creative landscape is as diverse, eclectic and inspiring as it is wild, weird and downright entertaining! Take a trip into the wonderland that awaits you at Chapter 8.

OldTown – Balkan, Gypsy, Klezmer, Pirate
The dark back streets and shady alleyways of BoomTown’s ancient city port lure the unsuspecting traveller beyond the confines of the map and into another world of seductive sirens singing under street lights and pirate parties storming every tavern. OldTown plays host to the 90-ft pirate ship The Jolly Dodger and the OldTown main stage, which will feature some of the world’s finest exponents of gypsy, Balkan beats, Klezmer and pirate music:

Mayfair Avenue – Electro-Swing, Swing, Vintage Remix
A playground for the upper echelons of BoomTown society, where bankers, socialites, aristocrats and secret societies rub shoulders. The well-heeled theatrical high-jinx of Mayfair plays out whilst housing the biggest Electro-Swing and Vintage Remix line up in the world:

Wild West – Folk, World, Bluegrass, Ska, World
A raucous ex-prospecting settlement populated by cowboys, showgirls, bounty hunters and bandits, and ruled by the no-nonsense Sheriff. Away from the district’s dusty trails and ramshackle saloons, three main stages dosey-doe day and night to a rootin’ tootin’ line-up of Folk, Bluegrass, Ska and World music:

Barrio Loco – Hip-Hop, Techno, House
The city’s Latin quarter is a neighbourhood that rarely sleeps, with a revolutionary spirit and carnival atmosphere run deep through its streets. The infamous Bassline Circus brings their outdoor show ‘Athletes of the Night’, and in addition to the district’s bass-heavy hub Poco Loco the all-new Vamos stage plays host to a bill of house and techno trailblazers:

Psychedelic – Psy-Trance, Hi-Tech, Progressive Techno
Supported by a collection of the UK’s top Psy promoters (IllumiNaughty, Tribe of Frog, Liquid Records and Return to the Source), the three stages of this district are found in two stunning woodland locations and an inner-city venue, and unite crews, artists and party people from all over the international Psychedelic Trance community:

Sector 6 – Bass, Garage, Grime
Every revolution needs an HQ, and BoomTown Chapter 8’s uprising will be bubbling away in the brand new Sector 6! Located in the heart of the district is a power station commandeered by masked revolutionaries, leading their charge to a bass-heavy soundtrack of Garage, Grime, Bassline and Dubstep:

The festival’s hub of technology and trade; have your senses challenged from all angles, with intense aromas, neon lights and detailed shop facades creating an intoxicating vibe of mystery, mayhem and music. At the heart of the bustling neighbourhood are the sounds of ska and punk, music that lies at the very core of BoomTown’s history and heritage:

TrenchTown – Reggae, Dub, Jungle
One of the festival’s most popular districts and the city hub of all things reggae, dub, dancehall and jungle. At its heart is the Lion’s Den, an ancient Mayan temple towering 40ft into the sky and the UK’s largest dedicated reggae stage. Elsewhere the Hidden Woods stage is all about the beach party vibrations and deep into the woods Tangled Roots celebrates sound system culture:
